OLAB is proud to present an innovative patented fitting designed for use in sector where the weight, associated with superior mechanical characteristics of each component, is of fundamental importance.

The imperative need to reduce as much as possible the weight of plant engineering work calls for the use of light-gauge laser-welded and annealed stainless steel pipes that are able to withstand very high pressures and minimize the weight at the same time.

The specific features of application in these sector have called for a new fitting that is able to guarantee high performance in terms of operating pressures and structural protection of the stainless steel pipe, and provides an ad hoc solution that fully meets market requirements.

The characteristic feature of the new device consists of the combined action of a reinforcing bush with a radial groove and a cut tapered ring capable of concentrating the force exerted by the nut torque on a limited surface of the pipe which generates its deformation.

In order to optimize the potential of its series 1000T fittings, OLAB has developed a reinforcing grooved  bush specially-designed for use with light-gauge stainless steel pipes (item 1044)
